The concept behind the project for Split Airport evolved from how humans conceive time and space. People are inquisitive three-dimensional beings, and the ability to fly allows us to connect two faraway places, in a relatively short time frame.
Building up Expectation
From a 15-minute wait to a 3-hour stopover, passengers use gate waiting areas to pass the time in many ways. Eat, sleep, work or play - these spaces need to provide an oasis for passengers to comfortably pass the time.
Create a welcoming, quiet area away from the hectic pace of the concourse and corridors with airport ceilings designed with superior acoustical performance.
